We have made products since 1999. First for the world's premium brands, and since 2010 for our own: coffee, whiskey, tea and cookware. We own the Qingdao factory that builds them, so the price carries no distribution layers.

The ownership chain

Most consumer brands own two links. We own all six.

DKK Brands owns all six links of its supply chain: design, tooling, manufacture, brand, distribution and the customer relationship. A typical consumer brand owns only the brand itself and outsources design to an agency, tooling to a vendor, manufacture to a contract factory, distribution to wholesalers and sales to retailers.

Our story

1999 to today

  1. 1999

    Founded in Aarhus as an ecommerce consultancy, selling other people’s brands online.

  2. 2003

    Began importing bathroom accessories into Denmark. The first goods we owned outright.

  3. 2006

    Opened in Qingdao, making product for WMF, SodaStream, QVC and other premium names. We learned the factory floor from inside it.

  4. 2010

    Viva Scandinavia. The first brand we built for ourselves.

  5. 2018

    Toronto opens, and North America becomes the home market.

  6. 2020

    Liiton. A glass shaped like a mountain turns into a gifting business.

  7. 2023

    Acquired Espro, and with it a following among people serious about coffee.

  8. 2026

    ProClad launches on Kickstarter and passes $1M in combined revenue.
